How long do you want to ignore this user?
Putting Bonfire aside, which still brings tears to me, I find it quite pleasing to see someone bascially calling NOAC an ol'fart.

I still don't understand why 07 thinks a thread in the Bonfire forum about what exact time the collapse happened, is "reducing" Bonfire to that debate.

it seems somehwat disrespectful and inappropriate for this discussion to be coming to this. I realize that I was nowhere near being at A&M at this point in time and may not have even known anyone on campus, but most of my family worked on bonfire and I had always hoped to. I dont mean to offend or go against anyone who was there, but it does seem strange to bring such personal attacks and jabs into a discussion about the most painful loss the aggies as a whole have ever lost

NoACDamnit...

I admit...a stupid question (I've been known to ask lots of stupid questions)...but did you see it collapse? I suspect the answer may be yes based on what I've read in your posts...don't know that I've ever read a post from someone on TexAgs that was there when it happened.

Wow...too surreal

It's telling that the only people saying this were in junior high or earlier when it happened.

We're discussing the issue - a minor one at that. I don't see why such a thing should be off limits simply because it's part of a much larger event. That doesn't take anything away from the greater meaning. You can discuss with someone how many boats landed during D-Day. That doesn't mean at all that you're saying anything inappropriate about the meaning of the event. I don't really understand why the younger guys here think it does. Is there a stigma now that '99 can't be talked about or something?

Toddy - no, we were watching a movie and planning on joining the dorm when it finished. (I know, everyone says something like this.) Found out from Keegan99, then my roomate and I went out to what we thought would be a rebuilding effort. Didn't even rush to get over there. It's surreal in retrospect, but there was an atmosphere of people going over there that we were in for a night of fun. Word hadn't made it to us yet about what actually happened.

Been part of a rebuild.... can't imagine what '99 must have been like in person. I learned about it from a newscast in GA and it blew my mind from 1000 miles awy
