Update 11/18/2007
As of Sunday 11/18/2007, Robertson County is still under a burn ban. The Commissioner's Court will meet tomorrow (Monday 11/19/2007) to decide if the rain received over the weekend would allow for lifting the ban and Bonfire to burn.

If the Court decides to lift the ban, Burn will take place on Tuesday 11/20/2007 at o'dark-thirty. See the link from this page for Burn details.

If the ban is not lifted on Monday, Student Bonfire will maintain its policy to not violate the burn ban. In which case, Burn will be scheduled for a later date.

Keep checking this website for updates on the situation as it develops. Please spread the word to those who may not check this website so that as many people as possible are informed.

Bonfire is about the camaraderie, team work, fun, leadership building and making lifelong friendships. It's burned just to make room to build it next year. All of the crews have done an amazing job at building this year and should be proud no matter what the outcome may be.

Does anyone have rainfall totals for Hearne - or better yet, the area near stack site?

A buddy in south CS claims he got 1.5 inches of rain yesterday.

From the ASOS at the airport in Hearne, there was at least 3/4" of rainfall yesterday during the storms. Hopefully that's enough to get the burn ban lifted.
