Wikipedia article says that Gates said there would be no official bonfire as long as litigation was ongoing.

In the same article it says that the Supreme Court denied the plaintiffs appears here in 2007.

So is there any discussion about restarting official bonfire?

even though the supreme court denied the request to hear the case, there are still litigations that continue at lower level courts.

...it'll happen in time.
