I salute EVERYONE that is involved with building and keeping the bonfire spirit alive. I do not knock that whatsoever.
It j8ust seems that MOST people NOT associated with bonfire this year have no idea about the details, much less have anything out there to get the buzz and excitement of bonfire.
This time of year is especially hard, but also the time of year i feel the aggie spirit more than ever in comraderie not only in remembrance but celebration of the aggie family.
that being said i am aware that there are 'some' pics on the website, but in previous years the stack progress was great to see. But its not the pictures i am SO concerned about, its keeping the tradition alive (which it continues to do
) and making it a part of the aggie community once again.
Even for those of us who are unable to attend, seeing the progress and culmination of EVERYONES hard work on burn night lets us feel the air of bonfire, the smell, the warmth as it ignites, and the overall feeling of unity knowing the tradition lives on while respecting the loss and pain we have endured in order to see it coninue to burn.
I look forward to bringing my kids someday and teaching them the history of our great tradition!
