There's an old trucker song from the 70's - can't remember the title or artist - that mentions it.
"I've Been Everywhere" - North America Version by Johnny Cash.
Slaid Cleaves has a couple of songs about Maine, mostly I guess because he is from there. Don't know that they specifically mention Bangor in any of them though.
