Comfortably Numb wasn't about drugs at all. It was about Pink not being able to take the pressure of being famous and passes out before a show. So he gets an injection that lets him perform. But I've also been told and read that it was Waters realizing he was insane, and what it felt like.

On Topic: I agree with "Lit" by Buckcherry and "Cocaine" by Clapton.

Best Cocain line ever is Ray Wylie Hubbard's Conversation With The Devil:

"That's no reason to throw me into Hell,"
"I didn't use the cocain to get high, I just like the way it semlled."

According to Rolling Stone the lyrics came from Roger Waters' experience when he was injected with tranquilizers for hepatitis by a doctor prior to playing a Pink Floyd show in Philadelphia on the band's 1977 tour for the Animals album.
