Since we're on the SNL discussion kick (always a good discussion, so no complaint from me), I figured I'd bring this up.
My vote goes to Jimmy Fallon. People have always found him to be hilarious, he was one of the most popular members of the cast, and I just thought he was fair at best. When you think of great cast members, you automatically think of a skit that they absolutely carried and made legendary: Belushi with The Samurai; Eddie Murphy with Mister Rogers' Neighborhood; Chris Farley as Motivational Speaker Matt Foley; Dana Carvey as Church Lady and George Bush; Will Ferrell as George Bush, Alex Trebek, and in "More Cowbell"; Darrell Hammond as Al Gore, Bill Clinton, and Sean Connery. I've watched more SNL episodes that had Fallon in them than probably any other cast member, and the only thing that comes directly to my mind is his inability to keep a straight face. And yet, for his frat boyish looks and attitude or whatever, people seem to love him.
Thoughts? Other nominees?
