LOS ANGELES (AP) - Eight years after his solo debut, Sean Lennon is releasing album No. 2.

"Friendly Fire" is due Sept. 26, Capitol Records announced Tuesday. It follows "Into the Sun," which was released in 1998.

"There was a long period after the first album where I felt disillusioned with the machinery of the industry," Lennon, 30, said in a statement.

"It's not that I stopped recording, playing, performing, I did all those things, just more discreetly. 'Friendly Fire' is an experiment to see what it might be like to do music more publicly again."

Whatever happened to Julian?

Sean got his dad's name and his mom's lack of talent.

I saw Julian play Deep Ellum Live about 6 years or so ago. Simon LeBon from Duran Duran was in the crowd and I got to meet Julian after the show. Very cool.

One of them opened for LIVE when they played Rudder some years ago....
