The best movie ending by far is "The Bad News Bears."

An emotional game where they lose. And when they were given the second place trophy they threw it back at them and told them to "Stick it up your a@@" Then a bunch of third graders start drinking beer set to classical music.

Someone PLEASE tell me of a better ending then that. I tear up and start cheering every time. I'm not lying.

I actually prefer the end of Empire Strikes Back. First movie I saw as a kid that the bad guys basically won.

I liked the end of Jaws. I remember getting creeped out by the end of Blair Witch Project and Sixth Sense.

As far as movies that endings really stuck with me: Shane, Old Yeller, Usual Suspects, and Se7en all come to mind.

Got to go with Shawshank. Maybe its not the best ending, but the most satisfying ending I can recall.

Blazing Saddles. You can't beat an ending with this sequence:

--The outlaws are defeated by being diverted to a replica of the town they intend to attack, including the use of an ingenious toll both

--The fight spills over onto the neighboring soundstage, where the outlaws begin fighting the gay dancers; THAT fight spills over into the lunchroom and starts a huge food fight

--The villain tries to get away by sneaking into the premiere of the movie that you are watching, and the hero chases him through Hollywood on horseback and captures him

--The heroes receive thanks from the townspeople they save, and then ride off into the sunset, where a stableman takes their horses and a limo is waiting for them.

Seriously, can that ever be topped?
