So I saw Pirates last night. I liked it.... although I may be forcing myself to like it a tad since I hold the first one so highly.

Although I didn't like the Two Towers that much (as a movie) and we all know how "Return of The King" was.

I think with a few tweaks to the plot (they can actually cut down on a lot of the action and make the plot a little more epic) then you can easilly make Pirates 3 just blow you away.

My problem with the 2.5 hour running time is that it was too busy. I don't mind the running time but throwing in 20 minutes sword fights gets a little repetitive.

I felt that with 2 & 3 combined, they had enough story for 1.5 movies, so there was alot of filler (extended swordfights and the whole native roast sequence). That's why it felt so long, for me anyway.
