Wow, now I feel very old.

The very best thing about the first "Pirates" was Johnny Depp as CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow.

So naturally in a sequel, they minimize the focus on him by overdoing the CGI, making a brilliant actor (Bill Nighy) unrecognizable, and splintering the storyline so much that you wonder who the main character is.

If I wanted to see a cartoon, I would have gone to see "Cars" and saved an hour of my Saturday.

This set of sequels reminds me of "The Matrix" 2 and 3. They'll be good summer action movies, but they cheapen the original just a little.

the 3 man sword fight on the rolling wheel got a bit ridiculous after the first 10 minutes.

It's almost like they were spoofing the highway seen in the 2nd Matrix with how they could take something cool and draw it out 20 minutes too long.

I can't believe I didn't know that Davy Jones was Bill Nighy.

How could you not? The creepy eyes gave it away!

Is anyone expecting Jack Sparrow to revive himself and replicate through touch to anyone he encounters? I eventually expect an ultimate showdown between millions of Sparrows and one Davy Jones on a rainy sea somewhere near the end of the movie.
