100 Quiet Riot - Should have stopped this list at 99
96 Meat Loaf - wow
89 Lita Ford* - Wouldn't have guessed that she would appear on the Top1000 list
79 Ratt - #80 Green Day is pissed
75 Spinal Tap - Bands 76-100 careers invalidated as they are ranked behind a fake band. Best song "Big Bottom"
73 Twisted Sister - I would probably fight anyone who merely suggested that they rank only 2 spots behind Lynyrd Skynyrd.
42 The Kinks - Come Dancing (just kidding)
37 The Yardbirds - best song is "I'm a Man" (not open for discussion)
04 AC/DC - Back in Black
03 Jimi Hendrix - Crosstown Traffic
02 Black Sabbath - War Pigs
01 Led Zeppelin - Hey Hey What Can I Do

*side note: An official protest has been filed with the commissioner's office noting that Lita Ford appears on this list but Triumph does not.

It's VH1...

Still though, it makes the list absolute crap. The Deftones deserve to be in the top 10 easily.

Oh come on...seriously. I like the Deftones too but top 10?? I don't agree with the top 10 on this list, but the Deftones should be closer to the 40 range. They haven't really influenced many (if any) of the other bands on this list, and they don't exactly have a giant catalog of great songs and albums like Metallica, Zep, Ozzy, etc. They have two great albums, one good one, and one that kinda sucked.
