Cream Confirms Fall NYC Run

As expected, Cream will regroup for an Oct. 24-26 run at New York's Madison Square Garden. Tickets will go on sale first to American Express cardholders beginning Monday (Sept. 12) via Ticketmaster. Remaining seats will available to the general public a week later.

Cream played its first shows in nearly 37 years in May at London's Royal Albert Hall, grossing more than $3.6 million, according to Billboard Boxscore. As previously reported, highlights will be released Oct. 4 by Rhino on the CD/DVD "Royal Albert Hall London May 2-3-5-6 2005."

The DVD features 19 songs stitched together from across the run, as well as eight alternate takes and interviews with group members Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton. Select footage will be utilized for an episode of PBS' "Great Performances" in late November or early December.

The accompanying CD will duplicate the same track list as the main program of the DVD but will be made up of different versions.

Here is the track list for the DVD/CD:

"I'm So Glad"
"Spoonful"
"Outside Woman Blues"
"Pressed Rat & Warthog"
"Sleepy Time Time"
"N.S.U."
"Badge"
"Politician"
"Sweet Wine"
"Rollin' & Tumblin'"
"Stormy Monday"
"Deserted Cities of the Heart"
"Born Under a Bad Sign"
"We're Going Wrong"
"Crossroads"
"Sitting on Top of the World"
"White Room"
"Toad"
"Sunshine of Your Love"

I think I am going to try and get tickets on Monday. If I can't get them, no loss. If I do, then I will try to find my way to NYC. This would be a mind blowing show. Worst case scenario: I'll sell my tickets and won't lose a dime.

Ticketmaster doesn't have any info yet. As soon as I hear something, I will post it on here.

I know Ginger's son, so I'll ask him for some info as well.

Seriously? Screw the info, ask him for tickets. EDIT: And backstage passes, too! I'll go with you.

Just checked the Madison Square Garden website and here is what they have listed as the price range: $64.50 - $354.50

Looks like I won't be going after all.

i'll be living in nyc by then, but those ticket prices are a bit steep.

especially since the lower end will be around $80 after all the charges.

I don't know him that well. He lives out here & is playing with a friend of mine/banging her, etc.

I am sure he will be going, so I have been planning on getting some inside info on tickets. I am in NYC enough to warrant working a trip around this show
