Yeah, these guest hosts are getting tiresome. I'm a big KISS fan, but not the best Gene Simmonns interview today. He rallied at the end, but to start the interview with "So Gene, how'd you come up with the name KISS?", that's inexcusable. It would help if he knew that Ace, not the guy he was interviewing, came up with the name. Gene was obviously put off by that gaff.

He gets six weeks vacation a year and he's been taking alot of it lately.

As far as actual sports go, the guy is a tool. He's bashing some guy one week, then he's on his jock the next week during his call-in interview.

For me, it's nothing but pure entertainment. His stories of Red Lobster or flying in a crappy plane and being asked to "look around and see if you see any other planes around me" keep me smiling on my many quick afternoon errands.

say what you will, but the guy gets the best interviews in sports talk radio. that, coupled with the fact that he can be pretty damm funny when he wants to be.

the only thing innacurate from the above statement is his reference to blowing up Alabama. unless he meant his chaotic departure. otherwise, what he said about OU rolling us is 100% true.

What about Dan Patrick?

He's had guest hosts for a couple of weeks now. He has been on here and there, but not really that much.

BTW- the show really went down after they didn't renew Dibble's contract.

I agree. His show used to be listenable in small increments. I never thought of myself as Dibble fan, but after he left I realized he brought alot to the show.

The reason Kornheiser and Rome and Patrick are all on vacation right now is pretty obvious - nothing is going on in sports. All 3 will be back next week, and will probably not miss many days since there will be football for the next 6 months.
This happens every summer about this time.
