Okay... I've seen it all.

What ever happened to the white woman who was kidnapped by the Indians and who eventually "married" one and had his baby? Was that the last time we ever saw her in the series?

I was wondering that also.

Also, what happened to their other son? After the railroad he wasn't seen again.

Plus, the brother who went to Texas.

Did George die?

They were shilling a director's cut in the last epidsode, I suspect it will tie some of those loose ends up.

Deep94:

Wasn't the RR son the one who became a scout for Custer and died at LBH at the hands of the squaws and children?

As to the white Cheyenne wife, of course she lived happily ever after her white family was all killed becasue she was now with the peaceful, nature loving Cheyennes. I figured we would see her when we got to Sand Creek but that was one of the few things I didn't predict right about the series as I was watching it.

The entire series was disappointing to me, too many characters and too many loose ends and it took the PC route every time, still better than any number of stupid reality shows the empty heads in Hollywood could have offered instead.

No, the Custer son and the rr son were 2 different kids. The rr son was the one who ran away from the abusive drunk uncle who married his mom.

Was the Custer son, not actually Jacob's, but his brother's kid? Didn't she have 1 kid with the other husband?

I was also expecting to see the White Cheyenne wife when they did the Sand Creek story line.

I'm pretty sure the scout was Jacob Jr and not the RR guy.

BQ78, I thought about saying the same thing in regards to the white woman with the Indians. I also agree with you about the series as a whole being too predictable and PC.

Like I said, too many characters treated too superficially. I really thought the Pony Express/ Railroad friend of the Chinese/ Custer scout guy were the same son but I wouldn't stake anything on it. In the first episode it did seem like the old squaw was squirting out a new baby every ten minutes so it was hard to keep track of every one in Jacob's family. Also with the frequent changing of actors for the characters it sometimes took a while to figure out who was who (e.g. Loved by the Buffalo).

Pony Express/RR dude were the same son. There was another who joined the military.

I believe that they were 2 different sons (rr vs custer scout).

I liked the series. I'm sure it is chock full of revisionist history. However, I do believe that the Indians were treated badly... VERY badly.

Abraham High Cloud was the pony express/railroad son. Unfortunately he disappeared after the railroad story line.

Jacob Jr. was the one who worked for Custer.

Kerri Russell supposedly had more screen time after her Cheyenne adoption but was edited out.

The extra kid was a girl who was the uncle and Thunder Heart woman's child. She is shown again as an older kid/young teen but never mentioned again. Her name was Corn Flower or something.

George ended up surviving(shot through the shoulder/upper back) and is seen with Dogstar and another hobbling away after wounded knee.

I really enjoyed the series, but it left too many loose ends and not that much character development/closure.

While I do agree that the terrible things were done to the Indians back then, this show was obviously 1 sided. No one in the military was shown to be even a remotely decent human.

It was a good series in showing what the Indians went through, but it wasn't much more than that.
