I watched Coach Carter last night and, had it not been "based on a true story", I would have turned it off. It seemed like a remake of Hoosiers, only with inner city kids and an educational slant.
It got me thinking about all the "real life on film" movies in recent history (Radio, Finding Neverland, Monster, etc) and if I would have continued to watch them had they been completely out of someone's imagination.
This brings up the question. What has been your favorite/the best "based on a true story" movie you have seen?
My vote is for Patch Adams.
