What's the word on The Killers. I kinda dig this song I have been hearing on the radio. I've never paid it any attention, but then I saw the video and it reminded me of the '80s when they took videos like that seriously.

I can't think of what band they remind me of but, Dead or Alive is on the edge of it.

The Killers have their own sound and it's cool. I used to hear them on 103.9 all of the time, but I haven't heard them since the station changed formats, which now includes kock rock.

Hot Fuss was one of the top 3 albums of 2004, IMO.

Nice site. I guess I should have taken my head out of my butt about the Blackhawk question. I asked because I remember drinking some brews after a game this past season with an Army Ag that flew Kiowas. Just thought on the odd chance that you might be him. No big deal, though.

I wouldn't say they have an original sound, not if you're older than 12 years old. It's basically the Strokes but done 80s style. That said, the album is really catchy. They have zero stage presence live, at least what I've seen on TV, and I have zero faith they can follow this up, but if you see it for 9.9 at Best Buy, it's a no brainer.

I really like the album, though the import version has a track that I think is better than most of the stuff on the domestic release. And though I haven't seen but a little bit of their stage stuff (all on TV), I agree that they don't have a great live presence (granted, I wasn't there live, but still).
