Last night's episode was really good and the show is really starting to cook. But it almost seems that there might not be another season.

Anyone know if this is going to be it?

Ratings seem to say it will be the last season. I watched season 1, have season 2 recorded, but haven't watched since the season premiere. I'll catch up on it later. It's a different, but entertaining show.

This season has been much better, as an actual plot has started to come together a little better and a little quicker. Season 1 was a little tough to get through, and I know several HBO series addicts who didn't. I hope they go ahead and wrap it up this season, because I dread what filler they might have written into it if they try to drag it out for one more year.

I haven't had a chance to watch last nights episode yet, but overall i've enjoyed this season. I'm still not really sure what's going on but i can't stop from watching it.

I think that is the biggest hurdle this show has. I've watched every episode and yet i still don't have a very good grasp on who every one is and what they represent. Its hard to capture a large audience if that isn't fairly clear.

Last night's episode really explained alot of things. Actually, the last two episodes really illuminated alot of these "in the dark" issues.

I agree. When you've seen every episode and still feel lost at times, I would imagine that it has picked up very few new viewers along the way since most would figure they must have missed too much and would give up. The replay of season 1 may have captured a few that missed it the first time, but that's probably about it. It's basically just struggling to hang onto the viewers that gave it a chance at the beginning - so you've got an ever-shrinking audience.

Any of you stick with this until the end? Considering it doesn't seem likely to be picked up for a 3rd season, I was a little disappointed that they left so many loose ends open in the season finale. I guess they had to leave the door open in case it does get picked up, but the whole Sophie thing at the end was a huge curveball.

I was under the impression that it would be picked up. The official decision hasn't been made, but supposedly the ratings were ok.

I've watched every episode. I really like it and hope that there is a third season.

Its like crack. I can't help but want to watch the show.

The Sophie deal was a strange twist. I can't believe they killed Jonesy though. I really liked him.

They just picked up The Wire for a fourth season and from what I understand it got worse ratings than Carnivale.

Does anybody know which series they're going to run after this season of Deadwood? I know they've got that Rome series coming but I thought that was giong to wait until Novemberish.

Sweet. I thought The Wire was dead for sure, especially with how the last 2 shows went - essentially wrapping everything up. I'm guessing they'll roll out a new plot, like Season 2.

I'm pretty sure that the final season of Six Feet Under will follow Deadwood - with a June start.
