Howdy. I was just wondering if anyone is attending the take action tour in houston this year. Lineup is Sugarcult, The Early November, Hawthorne Heights, Head Automatica, and MAXEEN!!

Change is not always a bad thing. While the other tours were good in their own right, it doesn't take anything away from the talent of these bands. I haven't seen Maxeen or Hawthorne Heights live yet and I am dying to see them. The Early November puts on a killer show and if Head Automatica's show is anything at all like glassjaw's then I'm sure they will kick ass too. I'm not too thrilled about Sugarcult, but their cds are alright. Plus, it's all for a good cause. I think this year it's suicide prevention.

There's a name I hadn't heard in forever. Skankin' Pickle was one of my favorite bands in high school.

Skanking Pickle.... Not that is a band I haven't heard of in like a decade. I have one of their CDs somewhere. It's the one where it looks like the top of a dill pickle container and it had the ska version of "Turning Japanese" on it. Sweetness....

I saw mu330 a few times in concert and really liked them, so I bought a couple of their albums. Neither of them grew on me like their live show did. Their drummer had testicular cancer and crazy bright red dreads.

Sing Along With was easily Skankin' Pickle's best album. I've still got a copy of it around somewhere... I should dig it up and put it on my iPod. The track after "Turning Japanese" was my favorite; some Korean-language folk song, I think.

Good to know Mike Park is still keepin' it real.

my favorite pickle song is "pabu boy" off the singalong album. park said that word translates from japanese to "idiot boy".
