How are the radio stations going in BCS. I remember them sucking while I was there. Do they have a legitemate Texas Music station yet? It seems like the perfect city for one, yet one of the last without it.

Hahaha, what a horrible idea. An entire radio station devoted to a fad that should fizzle out in the next 5 years or so (if ours is indeed a benevolent and loving God). Good call, chief.

What the hell are you talking about?

What do you think my definition of Texas Music is. Texas Music has no genre, it can be rock, country, or polka for all I care. As far as "fads" go, Texas artists, who have not signed with major labels have been around for years. People such as Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Steve Earle, and Billy Joe Shaver have been around too long to be considered a fad.

You'll have to forgive Ditka. He's the only person on the planet who gets to decide whether music is good or not.

As far as the station goes, I don't think there is anyone with enough money to start it and one of the country stations does a fair job of playing Texas artists. At least enough so that people aren't screaming for one.

My music taste has been under enough scrutiny, thank you. It's probably too diverse to sum up in one post, but I like Scandinavian heavy metal, classic rock, American melodic hardcore, tejano, classic country and 80's metal, to name but a few.

My music taste is more about what I don't like, I think. And you could fill up an encyclopedia with bands I think are crap.

Just as a matter of fact, your music taste come under scrutiny because you feel the need to be an ass to people who like music that you don't. To be honest, I don't care if you think a band is crap if I like them. I don't mind you saying a band you don't like. I do mind people who act like others are stupid for liking a band.

7 or 8 years ago, Dallas had a station (Merge ?) that featured a show entitled Lone Star Radio. It was pretty good - one of the few I looked forward to hearing.

I first heard Trish Murphy's songs being played on that show/station.

That show/station did not survive; I guess the revenue dollars were not there for the taking.

92.5 is all old country & Texas music. I think they are out of navasota.
