I know there are a few fans of the show on here, and I admit, I love it. I think it's a great show, great characters, really humanizing the heroes. One beef is that I really wish they'd make some of the women more likable and believable.

What is with the Probie's storyline? I was really disturbed by the whole attempted rape last night. Why doesn't he have a place to live? I must have missed that.

I know prior to this the Probie was renting a room from an older woman (with benefits) and then started banging her hot daughter. Mom found out and kicked him out. He was living in the fire station when the Mickey Mantle fan whose life he saved offered his home.

Cue very disturbing scene. I don't know that I would have had the strength to stop beating him with the baseball bat.

I saw last week's episode with the mom and hot daughter (BTW, totally not believable scene there) and knew he had to stay with her since he didn't have a place. Why doesn't he have a place though? Weird.

I wonder if he's going to be hit with some sort of assault charge. When that psycho came out of the bedroom with the huge tentpole I was like, oh no....

sounds like its just expensive. he mentioned trying to find a studio that was affordable. as a probie, I'm sure he doesn't make a crap load of money. try finding a place to live in and around manhattan for less than $1500/mo.

It makes sense. He's paying his dues being a probie in more ways then one. Once his probational period is over his paycheck will double. Not that even that will be that much. NY firefighters are amongst the lowest paid "big city" Firefighters in the nation.

I like the new firewoman. Great show, can't believe the season is almost over, only 3 more to go.
