An absolute legend. For a lot of the younger Gen Xers/older Millennials, Picard is our captain.

Phenomenal legendary actor. I know he'll get mostly remembered for TNG and Prof X, but I will always remember this hilarious scene from Ricky Gervais' Extras and he just kills it.

This one really hurts. I was in 6th grade when Next Generation premiered, and while I was aware of the Original Series, it was TNG that really hooked me on Star Trek. What an amazing cast, led by Stewart as Captain Picard. He will be long remembered, and the clip below was the first thing that came to mind after seeing the notification on my phone. Godspeed Sir and thanks.

I know Ian Mckellen is hurting with the passing of Patrick. Those two had so much chemistry in movies and on stage.

Man, I loved him in everything and his version of A Christmas Carol is my favorite. The part where Scrooge is remembering how to laugh is just fine acting all around. He also narrates the actual book in his awesome elegant Shakespearean voice. Watching it this year will be a little different than years past. Man, RIP Ebenezer Scrooge, Professor X, Captain Jean Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise and the GREAT PATRICK STEWART.
