I was in Italy for the semester when this came out and my friends mailed a copy of the CD to me

Can;t believe that was 30 yrs ago, but brings back good memories. I was 14, had just got the CD that day on a Sunday when Houston was hit with a winter blast. We learned Sunday evening that school was cancelled due to icy conditions expected for the next morning. Me and some friends decided to have a sleepover and I introduced them to the album. They fell asleep but I kept listening, as I was obsessed with "Aenema", "Stinkfist", and "Eulogy" in particular. I had never heard anything like them and it was my very first exposure to TOOL, aside from hearing a snippet of "Stinkfist" on the radio and deciding I needed whatever album had that song on it.

30 years ago...WOW

Wow- that's a long time ago. I remember buying the CD, unwrapping it, and sliding it into my car's pioneer
And having my face rocked off. The whole time wondering if there was going to be a Cries of the Carrots type buried track snuck in somewhere.
