It's a classic commercial and easy to see why they'd resurrect it. Still makes me chuckle.

I got curious and looked up when it first aired. If you'd have asked me I would have said 5 or 6 years ago. Turns out it debuted in April 2013. 13 years! Man, time sure does fly!

Really odd.

I have zero recollection of this commercial.

None.

Although if I think about that timeframe there was probably no commercial TV shows I was watching then.

LOST was about the last network show I watched with commercials.

They revived it to go with the NFL's first game of the season this past Wednesday. Even created an updated version with the camel and NBC's game announcers.

The perfect soundtrack in an ad... Geiko Caveman on the airport people-mover.

Some of those Caveman commercials were really funny. My favorite was the one where there was a group of guys doing their fantasy football draft and the caveman has first pick. He goes with some deep snapper from Southwestern Minnesota State Correspondence College or something and everyone starts laughing, leaving him puzzled.

Anyone else watch the TV show Cavemen?

Honestly it is taking the premise that worked well in 30 seconds and dragging it out to 22 minutes. But there was some funny stuff in there with longer setups and payoffs.

Cancelled after the pilot and 6 episodes aired. 6 episodes remain never seen. Plans to release it on DVD never happened.

Nick Kroll was one of the cavemen.

I enjoyed the Uber Eats Pirate Booty ad this weekend during the games.

Nick Kroll was one of the cavemen.

Very, very vague memory of it's existence. According to it's Wikipedia page, one of the worst sitcoms ever.

Here is the unaired pilot, with an appearance from Nick Swardson

What's funny is that the Good Good Golf guys referenced this commercial after they got blasted during their Callaway campaign a few weeks ago. Okay to tackle a woman in the office for not putting paper in the printer or whatever it was, but not cool if you tackle a woman for touching your new Callaway driver.

Yeah the pilot was way worse than the show they aired. It was completely rethought after that pilot - test audiences found it to be highly racist. they changed it from Atlanta to San Diego after that and changed the tone and direction. I mean the very white country club literally called White Neck was so bad to begin with.

I remember it debuted back to back with Carpoolers another short lived series I really liked with Jerry O'Connell and Faith Ford among others and TJ Miller in a great sidekick role as Marmaduke a slacker with some zany schemes who could not land a job.
