Incredibly dark

If this is a reintroduction to start the show again on D+, I think I will watch.

That was completely pointless.

Zero connection to DD Born Again or upcoming Spiderman. No plot or character arc to speak of. Just gratuitous violence on a bunch of jobbers.

And when he falls on the AC unit, they went with PS3 CGI and made ole boy look like Joel from The Last of Us.

Absolutely true on both counts.

I still enjoyed it, dark as it was.

The first half drags as they establish the character and villain background stuff.

The essence of the story is a bit shallow and non sensical, but once the gunshots start it's a good watch and extremely violent.
I appreciate Disney's commitment to DEI as the NPC villains appear mostly white with a colorful blend of blacks and Latino blended in. Not grouped by color, but rotation similar to a Benetton ad.

The part that is nonsense When the crime boss wife has an unarmed Castle isolated, she uses it to tell Frank that at 6:47 he is going to be ambushed. Instead of just killing him there, or surprising him with an ambush. If reminded me of Austin Powers

You will literally miss nothing if you skip this. It's a stand alone hour "movie".

Has zero tie ins to daredevil or daredevil, and really adds nothing to his overall story that has already happened.

It felt to me like a one episode roll out to see if there was enough interest to kick start a new season.

the action scenes were fun, but like said above, there were plot holes.
