That was great. No spoilers. Just absolute greatness

Edit - I removed my spoilers from here and created a spoilers/discussion thread here

Saw it in the Katy Mills AMC IMAX theater. Same auditorium I saw The Odyssey. The sound was incredible, and even bone-vibratingly loud as it was in Christopher Nolan's movie.

I liked the movie overall but I have to admit I came out a little disappointed. My main issues were the final fight felt a bit anticlimactic, and the editing was a little weird and disjointed.

Also the movie felt a tad melodramatic at times. The first one was too, but this felt like they dialed it up to 11.

It was waaaay melodramatic - but that's basically all Japanese movies, anime, etc. - They're all so far over the top and always yelling and crying about everything… It's annoying.

I always have such a hard time getting into Japanese media because of it

Is this movie OK for a 6 year old? My daughter loves Godzilla, but this one is rated R. She didn't have a problem with Minus One if that makes a difference.

It is bloody monster violence, but also there are a couple of scenes showing atomized people after atomic explosions. Probably not a good choice.
