Tickets go on sale tomorrow for a show he is doing here in Austin and the prices range from
55 to 78 dollars per. I will have to buy 2 as I would like to take my wife as well, but in any case, has anyone seen his standup? I really love the show but was wondering if I would necessarily like his standup routine. Any opinions as to whether it would be worth the price to go to the show?

I saw him in Ft. Worth. (but the tickets were a gift from my brothers, so I didn't have to weigh your deciding cost factors) He is very funny and I thought was well worth it. If it makes you feel better, we were in the balcony and I'm sure it was just as good as being on the floor. He's just standing there. Nothing to see, so go for the cheap seats in the rafters. (just my .02)

I haven't seen him do his newer material, but I did see him lve in San Antonio right after his tv show ended when he was "retiring" his old stuff.

Even though I had heard much of it previously, it was still pretty f'ing funny.

Where can you buy the tickets for the Austin show for $55-78? I dont see anything listed on ticketmaster for a show. The other places I have looked all want $160 apiece or more!

I saw him live in Lubbock. He was extremely funny and took questions from the crowd for about 30 minutes after he finished his stand-up. The funniest thing was when someone named stood up and asked, "My name's Newman....." He never got the rest of the question out because Jerry said "Hello Newman!" and the crowd just broke up into laughter.

Even his opening act was good. I won the tickets in a contest and sat in the balcony, but would have bought tickets and considered it worth it.

I saw him June 4 in Houston. He was great, given I had about 5 bombay sapphires/tonics prior to sitting down.. so with that said, Carrot-top would probably have been funny.

saw Seinfeld live in Vegas at Caesars over last Christmas. He was worth the $75 we paid to get in. His opening act, a guy names something Papa (maybe Jo?) was also very funny.

there are however a few moments where the show is not as funny. but I thought its worth it.

Gig em 31, that's what one of my cohorts told me today after class. I was just peering over his shoulder and didnt' really get a good look at the computer screen so I could be wrong.

saw him last time he was in austin. he's funny but you're not going to bust a rib laughing.

he's entertaining but not laugh out loud funny.

IN retrospect, I should have scalped the front row seats.

Hey Gigem 31, I bought tickets on the UT website for 48(better seats for 66 and 78) dollars. www.utexas.edu and then click on performing arts tab and find the seinfeld show for the Performing Arts Center. Sorry I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday.
