I watched this last night since I saw it was the #1 movie on Netflix. Pretty decent Netflix action flick. It has a good cast: Alan Ritchson, Dennis Quaid, Esai Morales. It tells the story of a group of Army Rangers who have one final assignment before they can get the Ranger badge, and they encounter a mysterious enemy in the Wilderness.

I thought Ritchson did a pretty good job. The movie reminded me of Lone Survivor with a mix of Jurrassic Park and other Sci fi movies. Not going to win any awards or anything, but an entertaining watch on a Sunday night with nothing else going on.

I enjoyed it. His character was very reminiscent of Reacher. Big guy, plays dumb/quiet, but really smart and just a big strong dude that helps him reach full potential.

Not a perfect film, but I thought it was good/entertaining.

Agreed. I saw someone describe it as the perfect beer and pizza movie and I think thats pretty accurate. Dont have to think too hard, just sit back and enjoy the action.

It was a better than average action movie, and I think that's because the action never really stopped, especially once the s*** hits the fan.

A very enjoyable movie. Perfect to watch alone when the family is all in bed. I enjoy reacher and ritchson so this was a no brainer. I was a little skeptical when the machine appeared and thought the movie may turn me away but it kept me engaged.

Also appreciate seeing a movie with a "location" of Colorado - other than the middle east or the same mega cities- NYC, LA, Chicago. google says it was new zealand.

Fairly entertaining, derivative sci-fi movie. Beautiful to look at. Acting was poor but that's expected with a B movie like this.

Most of the folks that made the Final Cut for the Army Rangers in this film make me weep for our armed forces if this film is remotely accurate. lol.

Does look like it's setup for a sequel.

This was Predator mashed up with Battleship (minus the bikini girl). Not saying I want my 2 hours back, but I probably should have pulled the plug when the antagonist was revealed. Thankfully there was no Bill Pullman scene where they mind meld and all the plans are revealed. Just shooting.

And, for all the anti woke folks, I don't recall them casting a woman in charge of anything Ranger related, nor any of the recruits. One actor might have been a woman, but couldn't tell and was a very minor part. This is not my hill, just relaying what I saw.

No expectations. Pretty cool 2 hour action film watch.

Yes, some of the Rangers that made the cut were quite suspect. LOL!

We watched this last night via my wife's typical process for selecting a show - go down 3, over 2, and this is what we landed on.

I didn't read the description of what it was about. I just assumed it would be a movie like Lone Survivor. It was feeling a lot like that right up until the moment that that alien thing stood up and started lighting everyone up. I told my wife - well, I didn't see this coming.

Felt like a mix of Predator, Lone Survivor, and a bit of Spielberg's War of the Worlds mixed in. I was somewhat disappointed that Reacher didn't have a "if it bleeds we can kill it" quip.

Solid action flick that never let up once the action started.

I enjoyed it as well. Better than a typical movie of its type. I'd watch a sequel, although I would try to keep it relatively small scale.
