My guess is it just comes down to a battle between Homelander vs Ryan and BB. With both BB and Homelander dying. We don't see Solider Boy out of the tube. Instead of Homelander's clone killing him, it is his son. Ryan maybe even shows up dressed as Black Noir with a zinc mask.

Not sure how they're going to wrap up everything in the final episode. Feels like it's giving off Game of Thrones ending vibes.

The last episode was 70 minutes long and the only plot that moved forward was killing Frenchy. If Kimiko magically has Soldier Boy's power and takes down Homelander in the final episode after the mere idea of that being a possibility was introduced in the second-to-last episode, it might well challenge Game of Thrones for worst finale of a huge show in the 21st century.

What has really nagged me lately is the ridiculous simplicity of a couple of fights. The Deep kills Noir in like10 seconds. Noir is strong and can fly and goes out just like that. Same with Homelander getting the drop on Soldier Boy in the last episode. SB is unconscious in like 8 seconds. Definitely feels like they're constantly changing power levels for convenience.

That wasn't the original Noir. The original Noir was killed by HL.

Btw, if you're watching this and not watching Invincible, you're missing the best superhero show out there. Fantastic cast and great story

It was great until Mark goes off to save the universe and his gf aborts their baby and somehow the show heaps all the guilt on his shoulders for some reason.

Yeah, Invincible is nothing but just emo-Mark now. I thought it was bad when he was dating Amber in the early seasons, but this whole season with Mark and his ****ing emotions was just a beating.

The original Noir couldn't fly. This one definitely can. This is a fight scene from Season 4 where it's already Noir 2.

Synapse's shirt was awesome. Would make a great white elephant gift, or maybe something you make a groom wear during his bachelor party.

I bashed a lot the last 24 hours, but I did like the Jesus/Homelander commercial. I think they intentionally made the crown of thorns look intentionally awkward on Homie's head.

I've enjoyed it for the most part.

I think my biggest gripe is when they completely pause everything to start talking (sometimes in situations where you absolutely would not start a dialogue). Exactly the same **** they pulled in Stranger Things.

Dude, the time for character development has passed and we are all aware of everyone's motivation. Let's go already!

Looks like the Boys attack the White House; Starlight is definitely KOing the Deep in that one scene

Any predictions for the end of an underwhelming season for a once-phenomenal and still pretty entertaining show?

In the comics:

Homelander kill the Prez, like in the show

Black Noir (the original) is revealed to be a clone of Homelander made by Vought as a failsafe in case they need to put Homelander down. Noir is the one doing the really awful stuff like raping Becca. He kills Homelander in a fight that almost kills the Clone, who Butcher then beats to death with a crowbar. There's a brief shot of Butcher & MM with crowbars in the series finale preview.

Butcher plans to release the virus as an aerosol to kill all the Supes, and he murders MM, Frenchie, and Kimiko so they can't stop him.

Hughie stops him and kills him.

I would give it somewhere in the C range thus far not terrible but not very exciting or good either. Funnily enough a finale can take that anywhere from an F to and A.

Right there with you. Things I would really like to see in the finale are

1. Homelander depowered before the end of the episode. Antony Starr without the powers is the way you get to a Emmy at last.

2. Butcher making good on his scorched earth vow from Season 2 and releasing the virus to kill all the supes.

Best I can offer you is:

1. The chick from Gen V killing [edit: fully powered ]Homelander while yelling "Kill Whitey"

2. Huggie killing butcher before he can release the virus and saying something how Lenny wouldn't have wanted butcher to do it.

I'm joking…..

I hope.

Both awful and good that they completely disregarded everything they built up in gen V but it just shouldn't have existed in the first place.

It was ok, homelander *****ing out was kind of funny though.

Really confused how the Lord of the Seven Seas just casually treads water instead of trying to escape using his super-human swimming powers. 2 weeks ago he's a zillion feet underwater busting a pipeline. Today, he can't even doggy paddle.

My favorite completed arc was Ryan. He made all the best choices.

I actually didn't like Homelander turning into a quivering jelly. I might be way off base, but I thought losing his powers would make him feel somewhat free of all the stress and anxiety and he'd welcome death or at least not resist it.

A lot of ridiculous decisions and cheat codes to get us to the end. And who names their baby with their new girlfriend after their dead old girlfriend?

Worst death: Terror

Nice touch: Shouting out the crew in the final montage. Really cool tribute.

I thought it was fine. Not near as bad a GOT's ending. I kind of wish they had let Homelander live a while as a pathetic normie after all he'd done but he definitely deserved worse than what he got. He got off easy IMO. Used to look forward to the show but honestly kind of glad its over. Not too sure if I'll check in with Vought Rising.

The number of Soldier Boy lines setting up Vought Rising this season was really vomit-inducing, and I say that as a huge fan of what Jensen Ackles did with that character.

Soldier Boy's arc in season 5 was: Get unfrozen, piss off Homelander, talk up Vought Rising, have a Supernatural reunion, get re-frozen.

I wonder if anyone else saw this, and if not, go to the White House fight. The first time Homelander tries to flee and Butcher pulls him back with the tentacles, the FX are absurdly bad. Bad enough that my old eyes spotted it in real time. I rolled it back and slow-moed i. When Homelander hits the carpet, he's a cape with a glob of blonde hair and that's it.

Best part was that Starlight looked like her old self when they artifically made her face look fatter since she's pregnant.

I will say I really enjoyed Daveed Diggs as Oh Father. Funny, charismatic, and a total scum bag trying to save his own ass even if it meant straight up ignoring God.

I enjoyed the finale a lot. One thing that bugs me about myself when I watch shows like this, though: I can see people fly, shoot lasers from their eyes, and do all sorts of other fantastic stuff. But the news report at the end that says Ashley was unanimously impeached and removed from office in a single day was too much of a suspension of disbelief for me.

I don't know why I can set aside reality for all the other stuff, but a fundamental misrepresentation of how government processes work is too much for me to go along with.

I don't see it being a stretch considering the whole nation watched and heard the Homelander meltdown/death live on TV.

Just procedurally. You could impeach unanimously in the House in one day, but no way the Senate trial would take place the same day.

But if that's my biggest gripe, it must mean I enjoyed the finale.
