Anyone seen this yet? Thinking about going tomorrow. It got good reviews on RT. It is between this and Mercy which seems mixed on reviews to include this board.

This was our date night movie last night and it was perfect for that. We really enjoyed it. It wasn't anything fancy - just a straightforward rom com, but it 100% delivered. The casting was great and we laughed out loud at a few parts. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something fun and lighthearted.

Taking the wife to see it tonight. Previews look good and the RT score of 81% is about as good as you can ask for.

ETA: this was an enjoyable film. A good amount of comedy without it feeling forced. Wife said this might be one of her favorite movies, but she has a soft spot for Rome. I'm sure we will watch again when it hits streaming.

Without giving anything away to anyone else, there was a collective oh in the audience when the one part came out. Cause I was a little bit confused about that as well until it was revealed.

I thought the story was going in a different direction until that part.

Really enjoyed it. A lot of reasons why it shouldn't have worked, yet it just did.

Just saw this movie and loved it! There were only a few people in the theater with us but everyone was cracking up the entire time. The side characters in this were hilarious.

I think it was more of a comedy than a rom com, but either way it delivered.

Cute flick, even though we missed first 10 minutes as I left phone/email tickets at home! NOT a good start for date night.

Finally pulled the wife out of the house for a movie date night and we saw this. Both really liked it, and we were surprised to see at least 30-40 people in the theater at a 5:00 pm showing in its 3rd week. According to some experts on this board this movie should have been pulled out of theaters after last week....two weeks then off to streaming in modern Hollywood! But I think movies like this thrive on word of mouth. We would never have gone to see it if I didn't read good things about it here.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. It wasn't a comment on this particular movie, I was referring to general statements made by some when discussing theatrical releases vs streaming.

Read some of the threads about the Warner Bros-Discovery sale and Hollywood trends. You'll see some posters (not a lot, but some) argue that movies should be given 17 days in theaters then pulled and moved to streaming, because supposedly after 17 days theatrical audiences dip too low to make it profitable in theaters.

To me, its a chicken vs egg argument. They argue movies aren't profitable in theaters after ~17 days and need to be moved to streaming. I argue that the industry shot itself in the foot by acclimating people to quick moves to streaming, i.e. if people are only attending theaters in the first 17 days of release its because they've gotten spoiled with movies being put on streaming a month after release.

But that's a whole other discussion. This movie was good and I highly suggest it for a date night.
