Got a little vinyl collection growing and an upgraded turntable en route.

My first vinyl record was Pet Sounds. But you may already have that.

Came here to post this! Except I can't listen to it at the moment because my stepdaughter borrowed it several visits ago.

It is a direct to disc recording that sounds incredible in person. Track 1 Side B is the best IMO. My dad has a copy that I listened to growing up, and eventually an uncle gave me his copy for my small collection

I try to hit the record store every few weeks and have been getting mostly movie scores. Recent pickups were Chariots of Fire(Vangelis), The Mission(Ennio Morricone) and A Clockwork Orange(Walter Carlos). I think I got those for $15 total.

I don't have them all any more but the Beatles- Blue and Red Albums, Frampton Comes Alive, The Who-The Kids are Alright and Who's Next. The Kinks- Low Budget, Elton John-Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

I was at Piranha records last week and the Blue Album (remastered and i think with a few more songs) is $75, it was probably $10 back in the day.

New records are ridiculous and their production pretty much defeat the purpose of vinyl.

My store is about 75% new 25% old. The old records have pretty much been picked through and when someone brings in some gems to sell they are picked through by staff or set aside for their serious collectors.

I really didn't get into Steely Dan until the CD era - never had any of their vinyl. Wish I'd had this one. They're in my top five banks and this is my favorite album of theirs.

When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

To name a few (In my opinion)
