Watched it tonight. I thought it was really good.
The "GOP" candidate was hilarious. "Subject matter this, that, sideways, with a spoon? I dunno. Something scary, perhaps?"
The writing should get a Oscar nomination; perhaps a director nomination, too.
Chimney Rock and the writer- an ode to Stephen King.

Saw this with family, while home for Christmas. Enjoyed it very much, especially after that ****ty second movie.

In a story centering around heretics and charlatans, I am really happy the filmmakers wrote Father Jud to be a genuine Christian, albeit with a rougher past. I appreciated his character a lot, in this movie.

Just watched it and loved it. Probably my favorite of the series.

Seemed like they were trying to copy "Murder on the Orient"/"Death on the Nile." Not as good as those, but a fun easy watch.

Any of these ensemble cast mysteries is going to be a copy of an Agatha Christie work, and those are two of her greatest. I'm certain the writer would say they were paying homage to her with the script. In fact, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd was on the Spring Reading list. Personally, I like Benoit Blanc better than Kenneth Branagh's Hercule Poirot.

Outside of Challengers I was not familiar with Josh O'Connor's work. That guy is fun to watch in movies especially this one. He had great depth, warmth, struggle and as an audience I felt it. He was great. Excited to see him in the upcoming Spielberg film.
But I enjoyed this very much.
