Apple is crushing it right now with this show and "Your Friends & Neighbors". Not sure I've laughed harder at a show than when he outbid those haughty doctors for that golf trip in Ireland. The face he made right before he yelled out "$200,000" was so great.

Really great episode! The number of cameos and how it was shot was impressive.

"And you thought I was just gonna say whatever was on the teleprompter, like I was fkn Ron Burgundy?"

That episode. When I saw it was titled "The Golden Globes", I figured it was going to be about him trying to run around and buy a Golden Globe (because everyone knows they're for sale.)

Nope, instead they do the full thing with Zoe Kravitz, Adam Scott, Jean Smart, Aaron Sorkin, Zack Snyder. Ted Sarandos!

Totally hilarious.

That was incredible.

Best episode of the season so far, IMO.

Sal Saperstein!

Catherine O Hara needs to be in every episode ever- which she has not lately (as does Kathryn Hahn who definitely should have had a place in this one.)

The Ted Sarandos from Netflix doing an Apple show sent me.

I don't know when Seth Rogen's Rolodex runs out, but I hope it's never.

I couldn't believe they actually got Serandos. I assumed those shots of him on the screen in the room were from an actual Globes broadcast that they licensed, but no, Rogen actually got him to cameo. Amazing.

I know I'm late to the party on this one but the pilot was absolutely hilarious. Just starting out with trying to turn Kool-Aid into a billion dollar movie franchise directed by Martin Scorcese, who actually wants to make a movie based on Jonestown, and ultimately being thrown out of a party by Charlize Theron because you made Martin Scorcese cry. Also, Kathryn Hahn just gets to go as hard in the paint as she wants.

Funny episode. Hate to nitpick but Sal would not have been seated in the back. Guess it was just for the comedy.

This show sucks. It has everything there to be good. But it sucks

I'll bail out and not ruin the thread for those who like it.

Another great one. I really shouldn't watch this show at midnight, the mania raises my blood pressure.

As always, the more Hahn and O'Hara, the better, and Cranston may have just sealed his Emmy nom.

Dave Franco being Dave Franco.

Considering Rogen doesn't speak to James Franco anymore, which Franco himself talked about publicly recently (and sounded legit sad about it), I'm shocked Rogen got Dave to be on the show, or how that even worked. Not to mention the meta aspect of it all, considering how interlinked Rogen and (James) Franco used to be. Seeing as there's no Seth Rogen in this universe, who would James Franco have been without him, and thus how would this iteration of Dave Franco be different as a result?

Also, The Town/Matt Belloni exposure is crazy. I love Belloni, I listen to him multiple times a week, and more power to him, but it's so disorienting to see him playing himself (or acting, period) in something like this.

Fun episode, though, and I'm looking forward to the finale next week.

Dave did both Neighbors movies with Rogen and Goldberg, and The Disaster Artist, so it's easy that they'd have their own friendship outside of James. With the way James appears, it wouldn't be surprising that Dave still talks to Rogen/Goldberg more often than he does his brother.

Didn't love the finale. Outside of great physical comedy, it was just too much more of the same from last week. I get it was a 2-parter…but even as one big episode, just too much.

Old school Hollywood buffet!!!

I really enjoy this show. I wish Hollywood made more on the nose type stuff like this.

Seth and Evan were on The Town podcast this week, and they confirmed (by not denying) that the Kool Aid voice role in the casting episode was fully shot with Usher in the Ice Cube role, but he got cold feet about it airing so they had to re-shoot in with Ice Cube. Ice Cube is a much funnier joke anyway, so they lucked out, but that's hilarious.

That sounds like that could be...an episode of the Studio! I imagine them running around frantically searching for someone to replace Usher and then getting the reshoots done before the deadline while that jazz music is playing. And of course the whole thing would be a oner.

Finally finished it last night. For me the series was very uneven. For instance, I believe it was the second episode "The Oner" I thought was hilarious and laughed out loud. There were one or two - especially the one with Zac Efron where they thought he stole the reel of film - that I could barely get through. But I thought it finished fairly strong. I really liked the Golden Globes episode and I thought the CinemaCon episodes were pretty funny and tied up the season pretty well. I will probably tune in for Season 2.

Meh. Turned it off about 20 mins into episode 2

I am behind obviously), just got AppleTV back…I thought episode 1 was decent, but just finished episode 2, and as someone who really do not like cringe comedy, especially in this case when they take a supposedly (semi) smart person and have them do like 20 dumb things in a row with zero self awareness just for "laughs", is this how the rest of the series is? I can check out if so, probably not for me.

It's probably not going to get any better for you then. The entire premise of the show is that it's a heightened version of things that do happen in Hollywood all the time, most of them not good, and celebrities being in on the joke and willing to make fun of themselves.

The first episode of The Studio was simply fantastic. The second was wonderful too. But the final 2 episodes to season 1 have been lazy and sophomoric. Just screaming and running around panicked from thing to thing. Not very clever, not funny, not nuanced….just monotonous, low brow cartoonish writing and acting.

Thanks, will likely check out then. Just not for me.

Funny thing is that so far Severance is the opposite, I thought the first episode was just really full of itself -30 second shots of them walking down halls, dinner convos where everyone's feelings had to be validated, bending over backwards to show us the mundane time and again...but I hung in based on the overall rating and it got much better for me since then. So if that holds, one out of two ain't bad.

Holy crap. I completely missed this one.

I just randomly happened upon this one because Apple TV works outside the country while other streaming options don't. I knew NOTHING about it. And I am blown away!

3 Episodes in and these episodes are clever and beautifully produced. And the cameos so far! This is impressive.

Of course it lit up the Emmys.

I've never seen a category that looks like this.

Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series:
-Jon Berenthal (The Bear)
-Bryan Cranston (The Studio)
-Dave Franco (The Studio)
-Ron Howard (The Studio)
-Anthony Mackie (The Studio)
-Martin Scorsese (The Studio)

They pulled 6/7 of the whole category. (And Zoe got one too).
