A funny thing about the Jonestown bit, it wasn't actually Kool-aid that they all drank to commit suicide. It was a similar product called flavor aid.MASAXET said:It's a great point that they mention right there during the bit

Other than Seth Rogen's character not being even remotely believable as a studio head (though I realize that's kind of sort of part of the shtick), and the show giving next to no reason why he was chosen first place (other than he loves movies and wanted the job since he was a kid)...
Ron Howard being a vindictive dick is way more believable than Seth Rogan as a studio head.ElephantRider said:
Ron Howard and Anthony Mackie were hilarious in this one
A real-life THE STUDIO moment...Around 7 years ago a senior Sony exec pitched studio boss Tom Rothman a big idea...a movie based on the colorful M&M characters. Is this the exec life now? Well, kinda yes. The story, w/@peterkiefer https://t.co/yjuNbQCqyI

I was also shocked at how game Olivia Wilde was to play into the whole hated-director thing, in the wake of all the Don't Worry Darling drama. Props to her for at least having a sense of humor about it, I guess.
My main problem with the yelling is how annoying Seth Rogan is when yelling.Philo B 93 said:
I'm enjoying the show. I'll watch every episode. But everyone yelling all the time is exhausting.
What's the deal with sit-coms and yelling? Did someone in the dawn of television prove that yelling makes things funny? Thank you Desi Arnez.
I mean- that's the joke.Quote:

I go to set a few days during a shoot and when I do I completely ignore the crew parking instructions and park right on set. However I immediately give my keys to transpo or a PA.TCTTS said:

I had a bigger problem with this in the second episode than the first. The stuff he was doing to ruin the one shot was so amateur that you really had to wonder how he got the job. I get he doesn't catch on to everyone sucking up to him just to get stuff, but doing stuff like talking in the middle of a take or walking in on the middle of a take was like he had never been on set before. I didn't blame the car bring in the way on him, though. Someone clearly moved the other car behind his and never said, "This other car is going to ruin the shot!"
