That "Show me the money" movie with Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding. I've blocked out the name.

And "Pearl Harbor" was actually worse than...well...Pearl Harbor.

Worst movies I've actually seen in the theater:

Thomas the Tank Engine and The Magic Railroad - even for a kids movie it is painful and I loved the series my son watched them all the time. So bad that went he wanted to see it again I talked his grandfather into taking him. He later cursed me knowing I did it on purpose. We laughed about it for years.

The Musketeer (2001) - just terrible and the editing and sound were horrific too.

The God's Must Be Crazy - admittedly I might have been in a bad mood but this was so insipid I walked out.

I can't imagine seeing this in theaters. I had to watch it for an anthropology class in college.

This is the worst I have seen in theater in the past 10-15 years:

Released in 2020, was the only new movie at Alamo Drafthouse early in the pandemic.
Nick Cage was the headline "star" but he amazingly never said a single word throughout the show.

Most of the movies being nominated for this prestigious award are sorta goofy bad movies from the start..., so you know what you are getting when you buy the ticket.

The ONLY movie I have ever asked for my money back for was AI. I can't remember why but somehow two directors were involved, one of which was Stephen Spielberg! Big Budget Science Fiction, with Stephen Spielberg involved, what could go wrong?? The movie had no ending, no explanation, nothing...just emptiness and anger.

That was actually a Stanley Kubrik movie that Spielberg completed after Kubrik's passing. It certainly had some of Spielberg's signature on it, but it never felt like a Spielberg movie to me.

Pearl Harbor held the spot, for me, until I saw Tree of Life. I almost forgot how much I hated that movie. The song about it in Team America is spot on.

Only a hair. It's probably the best and most enjoyable bad movie ever. Some truly great comedic moments. Smoke show lead actress. And the giant cockroach at the end was cutting edge graphics. Scared the hell out of young me.

100% agree. To this day the only movie I walked out on. My friend and I even stayed longer than we wanted to, hoping the sixth sense kid's character would die. When he fell in the water and sank we got so excited. Then he came back. That's when we got up and left.

I especially liked the Lea Thompson panty scene, that alone removes it from consideration as worst movie of all time.

I think Cry Baby, the Jon Waters film with Johnny Depp was the most idiotic and gross movie I have ever seen.

Terrible absurd plot that didn't create any laughs. Horrible acting job by Traci Lords and Rikki Lake. Horrible film.

Nic Cage has made some stinkers, but I'll put "Next" up there as one of the worst.

Ep 1 and 2 were absolute crap when put against the hype. 3 and the new ones aren't great, but nothing like 1 and 2.

Others I have hated lately are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the live action Dr. Suess stuff.
