My daughter really likes Mr. Best, so I have been watching his videos with her. Normally, I enjoy his videos, but so far I think this whole Beast Games is kind of repetitive and pretty, meh. Way too many, "Split up into teams and I'm going to keep offering stuff until one of you turns against the others." Hopefully, they are just doing this as a way to cut numbers really quickly and once it gets down to less people they'll get to more creative challenges.

Anyways, if you're not watching, go ahead and tell us how you're not watching this show and have no idea who Mr Beast is.

I'm enjoying it. I don't watch Beast except on the off chance with my youngest. I like the mind games and the exploitation of greed.

I wonder how many marriages will end because of someone turning down money. I mean, could you imagine if you were one of the four people who turned down a million dollars because of some sort of manufactured loyalty for people you've known maybe two days? If you come home with nothing, you're going to have to hear about turning down a million dollars everyday for the rest of your life.

Yes, I'm seeing some game theory going on. However, I have to agree with Austin on this. If you have an opportunity to win $1mil and stay in the game for $5 mil and all you have to do is screw people you never met and owe zero loyalty to or reduce your chances on the $5 mil to 1 in 300+, you screw the others and no questions asked.

It's pretty sickening to see the level of affection and obligation these people have to others that they just met. I wonder if it's the demographics of beast viewers. Perhaps they're mostly shut ins that spend their lives online and feel that they have a connection with the others. I guess it could be their only "real" connection in years.

That or it's all scripted nonsense and appeals to the viewer's hope for a hero.

I think a lot of the people on there are other YouTubers, and they know they'll get screen time if they cry when their friend for five minutes loses.

We watched as s big family over the holidays and loved it. A lot of laughing and making fun of the drama llamas and talking about how we'd take the money and run every chance we could.

Who are you taking if you find a helicopter ticket? I think I'd take all the remaining captains who didn't accept the million dollar bribe.

I think they may be trauma bonded to each other. They've been stuck together with no phones or internet for a couple of weeks by now. I'd assume it's a grueling process between the time it takes to set up the challenge and then review everything with a million cameras. With that being said, I'd have taken the million and eliminated a bunch of the field in a heart beat. They need to understand there's a low chance of winning 5 million and no one is going to get famous off the show.

That guy Jeremy, the religious fanatic, put on an absolute cringe performance.

Not my favorite episode. You can tell they were reaching on this one.

Great series overall so far

They are definitely setting the Jeremy guy up as a villain. The whole, he's not going to bring women thing seemed weird and kind of forced. Nothing about the guy before suggested that he was anti-woman, and then someone said he's not bringing women and all of a sudden it was a thing.

I liked the games more, because it was more than just eliminate yourself, but still, this storylines in this episode seemed forced and it didn't work as well as some of the others. In fact, I feel like setting up these character arch types in a reality show seems typical Hollywood, and a break from what he normally does with his YouTube shows.

People keeping their word is not "sickening".

They were elected to that spot based on their word. That means something to lots of people still. It's also good game play because no one wouid trust them if they'd acted differently.

Great show. Fun for the whole family.

I made it through all rounds of interviews to be on Beast Games and had to turn it down. Long story short, I fit a "attractive white guy in his 30's" demographic (the casting people's words..not mine) that they struggle to get, but my wife was 6 months pregnant with our third kid. They said I'd be out of contact with them for at least 4 weeks.

Kicking myself because I feel I'm magnanimous enough to have been one of the four, and I for sure would have bailed on my team for $1 million.

This is interesting! How/when did you apply?

I applied in April and almost immediately got a callback. Had multiple interviews and signed all sorts of NDA's and release forms.

I was initially told I'd be able to at least call my wife nightly, but after things started to get more serious they said it'd be 4-8 weeks of no contact.

ETA: I actually received an email from the casting company asking me to apply. I forgot I had applied to another Mr. Beast video year or two prior on a whim, and I guess they flagged my application. They sent an application for the Beast Games and when I did the initial form/video I got a reply like 2 hours later.

We binged it over the holidays. It's fun. Heck, I would have hosed everyone for $100k.
