I just bought the original version of Nosferatu on iTunes. At $5 it seems like a good deal. So I noticed the name of the actor who portrayed the vampire is Max Schreck. Which instantly popped as I recently rewatched Batman Returns, where Christopher Walken portrayed a villain by that name.

Coincidence, or was this Tim Burton's way to honoring this old movie/actor?

Considering the character was being played my Christopher Walken im sure it was a tribute in some way…..hell it could have been Walkens idea now I want to know

Yeah, neither did I. I asked ChatGPT about it, but all it really said was it "could be" but wasn't really definitive in its answer.
