Have any of you good Ags been to a Hans Zimmer Live show. I just found out he's here in Austin at the end of January and I want to go so badly, but tickets are pretty damn pricey. I need to know if it's mind blowing or just meh. I'm a huge fan of all his scores, but with ticket costs for me and my wife, plus paying a babysitter I need to know what I'm investing in.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Absolutely worth it. One of the best concerts I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. If you like his music it's a must watch.

There is a concert that was released on disk called Hans Zimmer Live in Prague that I bought to show off the sound in my home theater. It is an awesome concert.

We saw it in 2017 and it was incredible and well worth the price of admission. One of a kind experience for me.

My buddy went recently and can vouch for it. He knew 75% of the themes and had a blast.

Yes, in Houston a few years ago. It was awesome. Completely worth it.

MINDBLOWING! Highly recommend! Saw him in Vegas earlier this year. If possible, try to get tickets directly facing the stage instead of off to the side, even if that means you're farther away.

Took my son earlier this year to his show in Raleigh and as others have said it was just amazing. We are huge fans of his music and it was really cool how he "concerted" it up for a live show. Son still raves about it.

Saw him in Vegas. The music and hearing some of the stories behind the scenes was fantastic - however the venue (Tmobile Arena) was terrible for that kind of concert. There was awful reverb coming off of the back wall that was extremely noticeable even during the talking segments.

I would highly recommend going regardless of the venue, but it would be amazing to be lucky enough to have it in a venue that was designed for actual musical performances.

Think we saw him maybe 7-8 years ago. That means our kids were about 6 & 5 years old. So that means sitter and a long drive across town.

And yep, definitely worth it. It's badass when they go into certain themes you love.
