The first episode was actually really good. Felt similar to the old episodes (most of the same characters but played by younger actors). Really good cast too. I'm a big fan of the original and think this has a lot of promise.

Wife and I thought the same thing. They were able to give a lot of fan service without going weird. Went back to the original first kill in the original Dexter flashback, and it was very very close to this episode 1. Really good.
Just noticed the first 8 seasons are on Netflix.

There are only 4 seasons. Not sure what that garbage was after season 4.
We recently discovered Dexter and binged the entire thing. Then binged the New Blood one-season series. We will likely start this one in January.
