If you are a fan of Love+Sex+Robots from Netflix then you will love Secret Level. Same folks made this but on Prime.

I watched all 8 shorts last night and they are awesome. They are all based on video games/sci-fi stories.

@Eliminatus - My favorite...and dear God how do we get a feature length movie from whoever made that!....is the Warhammer 40K episode. Absolutely awesome.

My daughter is with Archetype Entertainment. An episode featuring the game she's working on "Exodus" comes out next week on the second drop of this series.

I'm a huge fan of Love Death + Robots so I checked this out and liked half of them. My favorite was Dungeons & Dragons followed by Armored Core. I also enjoyed Sifu and Warhammer 40k. New World, Unreal Tournament, PAC-MAN, and Crossfire didn't do anything for me.

Loved it. Some good Tzeentchian warp-****ery here. The best depiction to date by far.

It took me all of about 30 seconds to recognize Syama Pederson's handiwork in it. If you are unfamiliar with him, he was the sole creator of the Astartes Project that blew up on Youtube a few years ago. I still think it is largely unmatched in WH animation, professional or not, until this. Not sure how plugged in you are to this world but Games Workshop went on a crusade a few years ago against independent creators using their universe and lore. They gave the absolute best ones an option, come with us or get sued to oblivion. The not best ones didn't get even get the option before getting buried under cease and desists. VERY tumultuous time in the community as you can probably imagine. Syama took the option to work for them. And his influence can be seen very clearly in this new one.

Amazing work on this.

If anyone else wants to check it out:

The original was taken down by GW when he got poached but was preserved by others. Syama has been the one to truly grasp the true weight and speed of a Space Marine IMO. In the books they are always described as lightning fast and cat like smooth even given their size and obvious weight. In videos they always seem so clunky and even awkward to me until Syama did his thing.

This is animation is still insane to me. He did it like 6-7 years ago and completely by himself. It is so incredibly detailed and adds details that frankly are not needed but are so realistic you can't help but appreciate it. An example is when they are fighting the two psykers and one of them does the force push thingie down the hallway to the SM firing his bolter towards them. As the wave is heading his way, the bolts he is shooting is being deflecting by the wave as it travels. Such a tiny detail that lasts maybe .3 seconds and 99.9% of people will never notice....but it's incredible attention to detail. The whole video is filled with things like this and once you spot one it becomes a game to spot them all. This dude CARES about his work and I love it. I'm still peeved he got poached and his creative bubble effectively caged but on the flip side GW got a fantastic person with vision for the product.

I geek out hard on this stuff. As yall can probably see but the length of these posts.

The D&D short was also really well done IMO.

This episode was less than 20 mins but I could have watched hours of this! What an awesome series this would be. I would love to see how this played out. I can't even imagine the backstories and such on a show like this. The possibilities....

The animation for this was insane. Bravo!!

Rest of S1 was released and heard it was renewed for a second season. Good stuff.

I love the way they cut it and presented the story. It felt exactly like one session in a campaign. They had some role-playing downtime, a rest (complete with one party member on watch), some interesting combat encounters, and a terrible saving throw by a primary monster that surely annoyed the DM to no end. To wrap it all up there is a huge cliffhanger and I could hear myself as the DM saying, "And that's where we are going to wrap it up today. See y'all next week."

Those are great points! Love the detail!

It's funny because I have older boys in college who have started playing since so many shows reference it. Stranger things, big bang theory, Freaks and geeks and even the latest movie have seemed to excite people who have never before played. I told them about this episode and they absolutely loved it.
