I have mentioned it before but I have family in Nova Scotia so I have followed this since I was a kid. Back then it was this awesome romantic pirate tale, steeped in mystery and history. But when you look at the actual facts and history (and how a nice island has basically been destroyed over it), it's just another game of telephone that took on its own life.
So now the money isn't in the pit but in the story, either via media or eventually reselling the island to another group.. It is never in either the media's or the land owner's interest to say "I think it's bunk". So this will go on for forever pretty much, some new "discovery" or clue will always keep it alive. Which is fine if people want to romanticize it, it's fun to dream. I just hope they see it for what it is.

C'Mon man, they've found lots of fragments that may or may not be linked to the Knights Templar or King Arthur or Adolph Hitler.

They just need to find something that may or may not lead to the money pit, but first they'll have to meet with 2 or 3 other guys who may or may not be able to help them almost find something that may be of interest to looking further.

I feel like this show was done by AI starting about in 2018. My wife watches it, and that makes it the funniest thing on TV because it is the same plot everytime for the every season, and it makes me laugh when it is on because it is the same script each time but people like her keep watching it.

As a voiceover guy, the pacing of the narration makes my head hurt.

I wish they could get Waylon Jennings back to do it as The Troubadour.

"Well, the boys didn't find much this week, but they always find time for a beer to talk about their childhood memories. And Sturgill Simpson learned an important lesson about driving his tour bus too fast through Oak County."
