I didn't see a thread about this, so here is one:

So far I've gone through 2 episodes. And from what my google abilities tell me, it's sticking pretty closely to the facts. I've heard that many F1 drivers consider him to be the GOAT. This show make me understand why.

Edit:

BTW.. it also helps to have seen at least a season or 2 of the Netfix F1 documentary "Drive to Survive" where they follow around F1 teams and drivers. After watching that, it became clear to me, that the car is the #1 factor in determining who will win races. That Lewis Hamilton was untouchable when his car was the best. Then Max Vanstappen (sp?) became untouchable when his car became the best. This show makes it clear that Senna was able to get the best out of every car he drove. That he became the "master of rain" because rain made desperate cars more even and allowed great drivers to excel.

I did some you-tubing, and found a race when Senna was only 2 months into his F1 career where they got a lot of stud F1 drivers to race using the exact same Mercedes car. Most of the drivers were F1 world champions or at least had won many races. The only reason that Senna was even invited was at the behest of another driver who couldn't make it. He ended up destroying everybody. Anyway I found that interesting.

I caught the movie on an airplane in the early 2010s and was so taken by it that I bought the DVD / BluRay.

I'd definitely be interested to see an entire series. Looks like 6 episodes on IMDB.

Here's the trailer for the movie from 2010.

They speak whatever language they normally speak. When it's not English, it's subtitled.

So when Senna is talking to his family in Brazil, they speak Portuguese (I assume) and it's subtitled. When he is in England or Europe in general, then almost everybody speaks English, including Senna. So far, I think the majority is spoken English in the first 2 episodes.

Just clarifying as folks are discussing two things here:

There was a documentary film a few years ago - it's pretty good

Netflix just dropped a Brazilian miniseries which has received mixed reviews. I haven't watched it yet, so I can't comment.

Yes, he is considered the greatest by most F1 drivers and pundits.
