From "The Counselor"

This movie gets absolutely panned, but is one of my favorite movies of all time. The acting is absolutely top notch, and I think this is the most "Cormac McCarthy" movie there is. For those of you who are also fans of his work, he normally has some great philosophy interwoven throughout his novels.

In his most famous work that was adapted to screenplay; "No Country for Old Men" the best dialogue comes from Tommy Lee Jones' cousin Ellis, however this is actually fairly brief for McCarthy, as normally in the books his philosophical wanderings go for pages and pages on end. Although great in its own right I find even that scene pales in comparison to "Caminante, no hay camino" from "The Counselor"

The dialogue in "The Counselor" is between Michael Fassbender himself (Who plays the title role) and Ruben Blades, who plays a philosophical drug dealer who is informing Fassbender of the futility of trying to escape his impending death at the hands of the cartel who think Fassbender has double crossed them.

Please do yourself a favor and listen to the whole thing.
