Broken Arrow (1996, Hans Zimmer) with clear inspiration from Ennio Morricone's Sergio Leone scores.

At the time I don't think that was underrated. My brother's were big fans of the movie and the soundtrack.

Think it was just forgotten.

A movie I wish I could add to my Spotify but can't is Equilibrium. No official soundtrack was ever released for it but I enjoy the music from it. Underrated movie because the Matrix overshadowed it too.

Although Klaus Badelt is credited with the soundtrack for the first Pirates of the Caribbean film, Zimmer wrote the main themes, and you can really hear early incarnations of them in the Crimson Tide soundtrack.
