Watched this movie with the fam last night. It's an adaptation from a book about a 6th-grade girl with severe CP who has the chance to get into a "normal" 6th grade history class after she tests through the roof and gets a medical device that lets her talk. It's set in 2002 when that tech was not prevalent at all.
Really good movie, with first-time actress from the UK who suffers from CP herself. Jennifer Aniston provides her internal monologue as the girl loves watching Friends. One of my girls has mild CP and gets down on it sometimes for things like not being to run fast or falling at times. Really fascinating to watch her react to parts of it that hit home and parts where she realized how lucky she is compared to others with a more serious version of the same affliction.
