I didn't see this posted yet, so posting.

I was searching for things to watch, and I had read a few of the Alex Cross novels, so I decided to watch it. Aldis Hodge is pretty good as Cross, and I enjoyed Leverage, but not who I envisioned Cross as. Funny thing is - Isaiah Mustafa looks almost exactly how I pictured him, but he plays Sampson.

So far it is pretty good. Ryan Eggold is pretty good. Liked him in Blacklist.

Anyone else watching it?

Thank you! Forgot it started.

I'm glad they (Prime) released all the episodes at once.

Loved some of the books and the Morgan freeman movies. I'll have to give this a try.

I'm about 4 episodes in. This is a fine drama but nothing too special so far. There are some fine side characters and others are just bad, like why did you hire this actor bad. I agree I find his partner more of a leading man than the actor playing Cross. But good serial killer mystery that is engaging but some of the other character arcs around guilt and loss are not as entertaining to me.

C+ so far.

Started out good. Crashed and burned on the last 2 episodes.

Just finished this. Oh my.

I looked past a few shots at the beginning, but the table dinner at the friend's house really set the tone. Sitting amongst BLM advocate types, Cross was berated for being a sell out and traitor to his people because he was a cop. It was a pretty surface level attack, and it had me primed and waiting for our hyper intellectual detective to come back and put the guy in his place. But of course, BLM bro was right so all Cross could do was to make things physical. The was the start of what is perhaps the most anti cop racist police thriller one could imagine. Save yourself the time.

Spoiler alert! All white men are either murders or they get off watching it, or they are child diddlers. Most of the cops are crooked. The white women are either in on it or cover for the white men.

It was painful to watch.
