This dropped over the weekend and I'm amazed there's not a thread yet. S1 was maybe my favorite animated series of all time, I'm debating a S1 rewatch before jumping into S2.

Looks like this is dropping in 3 installments of 3 eps each:

Just discovered this recently, this show is awesome even with the excessive Imagine Dragons... Excited to watch but bummed it's only two seasons.

Finished up part 1 last night and I enjoyed it. I do wonder if I should have rewatched the first season as I definitely don't remember everything that happened so I'm a little fuzzy from time to time. I will say this might be my favorite animation style I've ever seen. This show is like a paiting came to life.

Finished the second set of episodes and I'm SO disappointed this is the last season. I feel like there's so much in these characters and the universe that could be explored, and the animation is just next level. Can't wait for the final drop.

A lot of studios could learn a few things from this and Blue Eye Samurai.

Just finished it. Probably requires a rewatch again to make sense of everything. Pretty solid overall but do think I prefer the more grounded stories over the end of the world stuff. Season 1 was fantastic and I think Season 2 Ep. 7 is the best of it's season. Wonder if we'll get a season 3.

we will not. it was announced when season 2 was announced that that would be the last season.

Damn. It's a big game with a lot of characters. Was hoping they'd maybe end this story but start a new unconnected one.

Listened to some interviews since yesterday and it sounds like they will continue with other characters from the game but I'm not 100% clear on if it'll be with the same writers and/or Fortiche the animation studio which I think would really cause them to lose the non-League audience.

So I finished up this weekend and if I'm being honest I got completely lost down the stretch of this show. It just seemed to go off the deep end of weird to the point I don't really know what was going on or what anyone's goals were. Once I couldn't tell where the characters were in space and time the show lost me.

It always looked great, and great voice acting. Whatever they were trying to achieve with the story didn't quite land, like you were talking about. Season 1 had a more cohesive story.
