What is your minimum IMDB score to give a movie a shot?

If I don't know anything about a movie it needs a 6.5 to give it a chance, slightly lower if it has a star I like or the plot sounds worthwhile….never a movie under 6.1.

Depends if it's a comedy or not. Don't care about the score on a comedy, just what the production value looks like.

Any other genre I'm at 6.5 or higher.

Not sure I've ever used it, unless maybe I was looking for a genre list.

I just watch what looks interesting, and have no problem bailing on a movie if I'm not into it.

I look to see if Fast Fred gave it a review and go with that. Next is if TCTTS liked the script and then I don't watch it.

If both Fast Fred and TCTTS liked it, it kind of becomes a perpetual motion device, like strapping a piece of buttered bread on top of a cat and dropping it from a window. It just spins around in my head forever .

I typically use RT. I look for 50+ audience and critics. If it's say 70+ audience, then I don't care about the critic rating.

TV shows it can be a bit lower.
Drama movies higher.
Romcoms lower.
Documentaries higher.
Action movies, midling.

Those articles are nothing but click bait. You don't need to watch whatever movie they tell you that you have to watch.
