I've loved this band and this man who got me in drumming for over 30 years now.. and have damn near watched just about every interview with him or james for as many years.
I almost threw this in the drummers thread, but figured it deserved it's own.
I have to say, I can't ever remember Lars talking tech about his gear. In fact, I don't think he ever has. Well, better late than never, a rig rundown of Lars' kit, by none other than himself. Not his tech, not some other random roadie.. but Lars talking about his kit. I really don't think he's ever done this.
And then, this comes out over the weekend as well. Lars again, talking about all his gear. This is quite a treat for anyone who has followed him over the decades. I still have my Tama rockstar kit in white that is basically his black album kit, less the black hardware. Got it in '94ish.. so right at 30 years ago.
But to see all these kits in a room.. man what history.
Love him or hate him, we wouldn't still be talking about metallica today if it weren't for him and james, together as a unit. Their sum is way bigger than their parts.
