Watch this movie before week's end or I'll be greatly disappointed in you.

The 'ole under the radar Tom Cruise flick.
The story makes perfect sense. Get in and out of town, do the jobs, only have one witness which is the cab driver then execute him at the end.aTmAg said:
I think this may be my favorite Cruise role. I wish he was the bad guy more often.
However, one has to REALLY suspend disbelief that a guy like Cruise's character would try any of that. Or that the mob would hire ONE guy to kill all those people in one night. Or that he would "enlist" a cab driver in hope that the guy doesn't screw any of it up.
Cruise was great. But the overall story was meh, in my opinion.
It's hilarious how you guys can't allow a movie you like to take a hint of criticism.Lathspell said:
Wow... your life sounds miserable if that's your take from a movie.
I can allow very easily. I can also respond and say your opinion is stupid. Your level of criticism can be leveled against 99% of movies, and is just stupid.aTmAg said:It's hilarious how you guys can't allow a movie you like to take a hint of criticism.Lathspell said:

It makes zero sense. Why not just drive himself? That way, he'd have ZERO witnesses and nobody in the way who can alert police or grab your briefcase to throw it in the highway, drive your car at a hundred miles an hour and then roll it, or get you killed at the end.VP at Pierce and Pierce said:The story makes perfect sense. There is a reason people don't conduct murders this way. Especially not the mob, who had plenty of murderers of their own to task.
It's one thing to suspend disbelief for a movie that doesn't take itself too seriously (like John Wick), it's another to do so for one that does (this one).Lathspell said:I can allow very easily. But feel free to have stupid opinions.
You remember right (assuming I remember right). I just think that idea is preposterous.Belton Ag said:I thought the movie established that he is able to pin the murders on the cabbies he uses. I'm actually quite happy. It's your taste in movies that is miserable.Lathspell said:
